Coming to Europe after living in South Florida for ten years was quite a shock climate-wise for both of us! Our trip to the South of France (after suffering a long German winter) was almost like heaven... This area is beautiful and warm and is an absolute paradise for seafood lovers. Did we mention that the weather was very warm? The coastline of the Mediterranean Sea provides a very dramatic drive with its mountains and cliffs which drop down to rocky beaches. We chose to stay in Cannes and spent may hours strolling along the famed boulevard de la Croisette, lined with gardens and palm trees on one side and luxury boutiques on the other. Of course, no trip to the Mediterranean would be complete without a visit to Monte Carlo. We whiled away our day with the rich and famous of Monaco by lunching beside the harbor and window shopping in town. The views of the sea were magnificent - we could have stayed forever.
